On the 27th Vance was in the pool, we can't make up our minds if he is a really dedicated swimmer, very brave or just plain crazy. Well done Vance! Thursday was a lovely warm day at the club and many of us were in uniform to enjoy the sun. Nicky was able to clean the outside of the caravan in uniform and Lin gave her a toothbrush to get into those hard to reach places. It is unclear if Pete knows about this...
The flowering cherry tree by Ron and Madge's chalet looked stunning and was in full bloom. Ron joked that he has counted the sticks of rhubarb that is growing behind the chalet. We also loved his unusual beer glass that he managed to pick up in a charity shop.
The primroses by the pool looked beautiful, with them putting on a gorgeous show of yellow complimenting the daffodils that are in bloom. The club is looking absolutely beautiful at the moment. David, Sallie, Lin, Steve and Nicky had a relaxed, enjoyable evening in the pavilion catching up. There is a lovely positive vibe at the moment and we are all looking forward to a fantastic season this year.
The sun came out this weekend for the AGM that saw many of us turning out for it. It was lovely to see people that we hadn't seen over the winter period.
After the meeting Tony put on a very informative demonstration on how to use the different fire extinguishers that we have around the club. Those of us that wished to were able to use them under Tony's instruction so we felt more familiar and confident with using them. Thank you Tony for the demonstration.
It was noted that there was an assortment of amusing t-shirts (some more rude than others, not mentioning any names here but the photographic evidence in the members only section speaks for itself).
