As we arrived at the club on Thursday Madge was cleaning the windows where the posters are located. Steve commented as he took a photograph "Safety First's gig really was a washout".
As it was Pete's birthday week (many happy returns Pete) Tracey gave him a lovely mug, liquorice allsorts and jelly babies. I am not sure if Pete actually ate many of the sweets himself because he made the mistake of sharing them and they lasted about 10 seconds (thank you for sharing Peter)..
We were also treated to that very rare sight of Richard working! I know this sounds highly unlikely but it is true, Steve even managed to capture an image of this very rare occurrence for posterity. Richard also came up with a new invention for his glasses whilst playing snooker to enable him to see over them. Steve went in to see how they worked and it seemed they were working well but it didn't stop Richard from potting the white ball! Despite this he still managed to win.
Well done to Brandon for being undefeated Saturday evening at snooker.
Whilst taking some new footage of insects for a new video to be made later in the year Steve discovered a rare bee fly. Our resident bug expert Jim is sending the images off to relevant bug enthusiast to be documented. It is lovely that our club is home to a great variety of wildlife and because of this it has been decided that our 'Naturist Wildlife' page should be added to the main website so this can be shared with other Naturist Wildlife enthusiasts.
We were sorry to hear that a loved club member had come to the decision to sell her chalet but very glad that she has decided to continue with her membership. We are delighted to learn that Janet had purchased the chalet and was moving back 'home'.
A few of us had a laugh putting up Paul and Sandy's awning Sunday, it was worse than the Kypton factor with none of us really knowing what pole went where. Eventually we managed to get it done and it just needs a few tweaks here and there.
We have had a great response for the 'end of year party' that is being planned, don't forget to get your tickets from either Steve or Nicky It is going to be a great night, we really hope you are able you come.
Bonnie has asked me to mention that we now have rotas on the notice board for the washing up after tea, washing the t-towels and cleaning the upper and lower toilet blocks.
