Unfortunately Steve and I were not able to be there Friday and Saturday so we missed Jim and Lilly's anniversary tea. We hear that there was a beautiful spread of savoury treats and some wonderful cakes. Lilly made her delicious cheese puffs (we are going to have to try to get the recipe for the recipe page) and they went that extra mile and made sure that Dee had her own sweet and savoury plate that was gluten free to suit her dietary requirements.
Congratulations to such a lovely caring couple, we hope you enjoy many more years of bickering and getting in each others way.
Sunday was a lovely chilled day, miniten was the game of the day. Ricky and Drake played some fantastic games, even managing to avoid Injury! Drake was able to beat Ricky in a game for the first time in a few years. The game saw some fantastic rallies and some really well placed shots. We really enjoyed watching the games.
The only game of boules on Sunday was nail biting with the ladies winning at the last minute. Of course the men say it was because they were playing with an 'injured' team member but the ladies insist it was skill on their part that saw them as victorious.
