Several of us went to the beautiful Son Bou in late September 2016 and a lovely time was had by all. A group of six of us arrived earlier and spent a relaxing few days sunning themselves on the gorgeous beach. That is until Steve and Nicky arrived to spoil the peace (just kidding... I think). We had many games of bat and ball,Clyde entertained the whole beach with his handstands to a round of applause from spectators. Bonnie was even told how 'awesome' her lovely husband was! We were even able to laugh when a woman came over to us to complain that we were enjoying ourselves to much saying "You blah, blah, blah in the morning, you blah, blah, blah in the afternoon! Steve being his usual self didnt understand that we were being told off and thought that she was asking about his snorkle and proceeded to offer her a loan of it! Even she couldn't stay angry with us and laughed with us eventually. Sandy tried out snorkeling for the first time and was amazed at the fish. We had lots of laughs and giggles but alas the time for them to go home arrived to soon.
Then the second group arrived, they were lucky enough to be staying in a beautiful villa with fantastic views, it's own jacuzzi and swimming pool! What could be better, gin and tonic with ice and a slice of lime relaxing by the pool? Some of us went sightseeing and had days out. A group went out on a glass bottomed boat, Karl and Hazel went to caves and various other sight. Ricky, Bianca, Nicky and Steve went go-kart racing. Despite being initally nervous Bianca and Nicky really enjoyed themselves and Ricky did eventually manage to stop the kart when it was time to come in with a little help from the owner. Evenings were spent either looking out at the breathtaking views as the sunset over the beach enjoying one of Jack's quizzes (which of course the girls one) or taking the short walk to the restaurants and bars for food and a drink or two.
Many of us took snorkles and were amazed at the different types of fish to see, we saw several octopuses too and Nicky and Bianca even saw an eel.
What can I say about Son Bou beach apart from what a lovely naturist beach! It's only a short walk from the resort and if lucky you may even get to meet ducks, geese and chickens on the beach! The locals are very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome, can't wait until next time!
We have added a lot of images from the holiday so please be patient while they load, thank you, these have been taken by Ricky & Steve
