The Sun Club Pavilion

The pavilion was rebuilt by our members a few years ago and we are rather proud of it. It’s nice and spacious with comfy chairs, especially when they are around the fire place on colder autumn evenings. The pavilion is used for everything from a cup of tea to full blown New Year Eve parties.

Facilities included inside the pavilion are: a well equipped kitchen for self-catering including two sinks, two gas ovens and a fridge, all for members and holiday makers to use as needed. It is also where the pool table is, there is always a willing opponent. It also houses our library and so many jigsaw puzzles for those not so sunny days.

Outside the pavilion we have an all weather table tennis table and covered outdoor seating with tables next to the club's brick built barbecue. Close by is one of the toilet blocks and twin shower rooms.

Things to do

We boast about 4 acres of woodland with areas of beautifully maintained lawns, suntraps, bushes, trees, hedges and paths and have so many things to do at your own leisure.

The Swimming Pool

Beautifully maintained by our Pool Manager and his team, then heated naturally by the rays of the sun, this is always a wonderful way to cool off on those hot summer days when you have been sunbathing or simply fancy a swim.

Miniten

The Miniten court is in almost constant use and we also have a badminton court next to the boules court and also a croquet set for use on the lawns (coming 2022).

Families

Families have their own designated play area with swings a sand pit and climbing frames. Located close to the pavilion, your children can be seen from the outdoor seating area.

BBQ

Every Friday and Saturday night, about 6pm the BBQ gets lit. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know the other members and chat. Sat outside and facing the setting sun, it really is the perfect end to the day. The outdoor tables and benches are used frequently for picnic lunches and pleasant evening barbecues, usually starting with a glass or two of your favourite tipple, whilst the barbecue warms up. With Tesco being just 5 minutes drive, finding that perfect steak or the traditional sausage and burgers is easy.

The Pizza Oven

The pizza oven is located next to the BBQ and is lit the first sunday of the month and it makes a lovely evening. Bring your own ready to cook pizza or make your own, you do it yourself.
